Welcome . . .

You've found this website because you were personally invited here by me.  This site is pretty informal, it's just a freebie for folks I meet.

I'm looking for people in the Detroit Metro area ( I live in Southfield ) to cooperate and form a Mastermind group to help us all develop careers as Internet marketers.  I know that Internet marketing can be a very rewarding venture, and I'd like to work alongside you as we each grow our businesses. We can teach, share and encourage each other.  Consider yourself a study buddy.  Having to answer to a friend for an assignment you gave yourself is much more compelling than doing it all alone.  Mike Filsaime stated that he believes there's about three years left before this field gets 'filled up' and it becomes far more difficult to get going.  And he said that six months ago.  We have to move NOW.

The best way to reach me is by phone. My personal cellphone number is 248 Seven Two Two 1024.  I have over a dozen email inboxes, and it's a challenge to monitor all of them; I don't want to miss your message.

The primary facet of running this business is just that -- to treat it like a business, not a hobby, or a spare-time venture.  I work at this full-time, but I will cooperate with you if you aren't at that stage right now.

To begin, I'd like to offer you a few tools.  First is an ebook I wrote that shows you how to extend your Wi-Fi and cellphone range, so you can get your wireless laptop or your cellphone to work at ranges you never considered.  The world's record for Wi-Fi is 55 miles, but I expect you'd settle for a lot less than that.  Cellphone range won't work through mountains and bricks, but if you're simply too far away from a tower, you might be surprised.  You may keep a copy of my ebook, but you cannot give it to anyone else or sell it; I use pieces of it as content for an email newsletter.  You may, of course, share the ideas with your friends, but not the PDF itself.

Wi-Fi eBook .

Second, you may benefit from a free website template that will save you some time.  You can download free templates from Free Web Templates.com

As always, anytime you've got a question or problem, Google it.  Anything.

If I could offer you some advice for your business, it would be this; Plan Tomorrow Today.
I learned this from Alex Jeffreys, who learned it from Rich Schefren.  Here's how it works.
This technique is about planning, not goal-setting.  The ONLY book I've ever found that has any useful advice about goal-setting is Noah St. John's, "The Secret Code of Success."  (I learned about it in an email from Alex Mandossian.)  It's completely different from all the other books like this, and sort of laughs at them all because they only work for that 3% of the population that everything works for (I can attest to that).
So, plan where you'll be in a year, and phrase it the way Noah teaches. (For example, "I'm delighted to have earned $75K from my growing web presence, consisting of 12 websites, and I have affiliates selling 4 products for me.")
Next, plan where you'll be in 6 months ("I'm thrilled to have 6 websites up and running, with 2 products sold by affiliates. My biggest joy is the $30,000 I've earned since I started.")
Use the details to plan what you'll have to do in the next 3 months, then next month. Then each week of next month, so you'll have a plan for next week.  Using that, plan what you'll do tomorrow (for example, "Search for free tools to create a squeeze page and learn how to use them.")  Each day, make a plan for tomorrow.  When you get up in the morning, you'll already have a plan for that day.  Do something every day to make it a habit; that's much better than large surges with nothing in between.

My last tip is about buying stuff online.  I've found that quite a few pitch pages I see lately have testimonials from someone who grew up or lives in Oak Park, Michigan, but your results may be different.  They're all flaming liars, and I wouldn't buy anything from a site that lies about their testimonials.  How do I know they're not really from Oak Park?  Click View, Source to see the HTML that makes up the page, and Search for anything that's just before the city name. You'll find the code that plugs in the city where your ISP reports, so it looks like they're right around the corner.  Check
ScottsMoneyBlog.com for an example right below his photo.  Obviously, he's not from Oak Park. I doubt that's his photo.  I don't even believe his name is Scott, and I don't trust him (or her) one bit.  For another, see Cathy's Mom's website about teeth whitening.  That scammer has produced multiple sites, all with the same pitch for 'trial' products (using your credit card for shipping fees) that turn into a nightmare.  And he's not in Oak Park, he "lives" in a UPS Store in California (it's a VERY small apartment).  He's using Google AdWords in lots of places, so he's clearly making a bundle by swindling people.  Jerks like this will, reportedly, soon make the powers-that-be make sure internet pitch statements follow much more truthful guidelines. That also means that someone making statements about how much fabulous moolah their top student made last month will be forced to tell more about the folks who didn't do so well. Stick to the truth.
